What typifies the Systemic Approach?
This approach explores the unique relationships and intricate contexts in which behaviors exist within a family, organization, group or system of any kind. Problems or symptoms that impair the functioning of a person or family are resolved by changing dysfunctional interactional patterns within that system, rather than attempting to alleviate symptoms in an isolated, fractional way. According to this approach, the entire system constitutes a cohesive, interconnected entity in which problems arise but which also embodies the most effective, comprehensive solutions!
The Systemic approach implemented here at Shinui is an integration of the structural, strategic, Ericksonian, solution-focused and the constructive post modern approaches, which incorporates various disciplines from the fields of psychology, cybernetics, anthropology, psychiatry, sociology and philosophy.
